They entered their room, throwing the door open, and their coats off. Before the door had closed, Kat was flopping down onto her favorite couch...or at least what was left of it. A moment later Nik crashed on his own piece of furniture, a worn-out old bean bag. As one they sighed in exhaustion. They were home though...home.
"I need a shower." Kat announced suddenly, wearily climbing to her feet. Immediately she headed toward the bathroom, shedding clothing as she went. She already knew Nik wouldn't mind; he was like a brother to her, and it wasn't as if he'd never seen a woman's body before. They'd taken enough trips down Renold Street, better known as 'Hooker Avenue'. Travel downtown enough, and you learned to grow up real fast. The streets weren't the place to keep your innocence, body or mind.
